Are Teens Using AI Better Than Adults Think?

Google released its new U.S. Future Report, based on research conducted with RXN involving more than 1,000 U.S. teens ages 13 to 17, along with additional state-level samples and focus groups. The findings show that AI is already deeply embedded in teen life, especially for learning and creativity. Ninety-four percent of surveyed teens said they had used AI in the past year, and 74% of those users said they use it weekly or more as an interactive study partner. At the same time, many teens say they actively cross-check AI-generated information and want more formal digital literacy education in school.
